The Sexuality and Gender Advocacy (SGA), with support from the Medical Student’s Association, would like to introduce a film screening of “The Danish Girl” followed by guest speakers including Dr. Justin Petryk, a Psychiatrist who works with transgender patients in the process of transitioning. Tickets will be $5 at the door.
This film portrays the true story of a painter named Einar Wegener who became the first person to undergo sexual reassignment surgery in 1931 and the struggles and accomplishments of the relationship with their wife throughout their journey.
